About IES
Innovative Emergency Solutions, LLC was founded in 2011 by Matthew N. Haerter with the sole mission of professionally addressing the challenges of public safety agencies as well as private business. This mission is regularly met by way of orchestrating change via operational policy, training, planning, and specification of specialty apparatus and equipment. No issue is too simple or too complex.
Chief Haerter regularly works with many regional public safety agencies in the disciplines of leadership development, apparatus specifications, and the comprehensive reengineering of approaches to tactics and strategy. In addition to these customized services, Chief Haerter also frequently instructs the Blue Card Command Certification Program.
Chief Haerter began his fire service career with the Harvard (IL) Fire Protection District in 1990. Haerter now serves the City of Kenosha (WI) Fire Department as a Battalion Chief within the Division of Suppression. During his career, Chief Haerter has facilitated the design, construction, and delivery of a wide variety of emergency apparatus including engines, ladders, ambulances, staff vehicles, squads, command units, watercraft, and ATVs.
